No!
Science is best described as a process in which we try to understand nature in a
systematic way.
Science
proceeds from observations to explanations of what is seen, which are tested and rejected
if
the
explanations fall short. We aim toward the simplest explanations that can explain the
broadest
range
of behavior in nature, and give special value to the ability to make predictions about
situations
we
have not actually observed. Because science is a process, it cannot be captured
in a list of memorized facts. Indeed, accepting such a list would get in the way of the
scientific process of investigating whether the facts were really facts, or were
incorrect!
