See the Big Dipper in 3D!!! The picture below is a double image of the Big Dipper (identify it in the center of each side). The images include parallaxes determined by the Hipparchos satellite . Train your eyes to superimpose the white x's and the Big Dipper will float in space for you with the stars appearing proportional to their true distances (it takes a little practice).
