Accomplishments for Week Ending 10/02/07

1) NIRCam team personnel visited Axsys to review the test
report from mirror work. A revised protocol for testing
coupons for stress was developed.
2) NIRCam Science Team members participated in the JWST conference
and held a team meeting.
3) Substantial progress has been made in pulling in the FAM bearing schedule so

the impact to flight delivery is being greatly reduced.
4) Lenses 1 and 3 of the PIL assembly are proceeding through final
fabrication and testing steps. Coastal was still having problems
with Lens 2 so NIRCam sent a person to visit and resolve the
remaining issues.
5) Pathfinder build up is progressing with the newly designed and
manufactured shims required for the DBS and the "opposite" side of
the LiF collimator lens now in hand.
6) Pre-ship review of the flight DBS parts went very well. The flight
parts are wonderfully flat.
