Last Week's Accomplishments
NIRCam Activities for Week Ending July 11, 2006
1) NIRCam Internal Be Fracture Investigation Team started
work, and began filling in a fishbone analysis.
2) Arizona FPA Team held a document and procedure review
with Rockwell for cable assemblies.
3) Received word from Goddard that the Hytek boards used
in the cable assembly passed DPA and amy be used for flight
cabels assemblies.
4) All parts have been received and are in cleaning for
the Filter Wheel Assembly prototype re-build including a
passive friction device.
5) MOOG has shown the damaged harmonic drive from the FAM
linear actuator test to the manufactor who stated that the dmage
was mostly likely from inadequate lubricant as had been thought
by the NIRCam Team.
6) The first cold test of the beamsplitter has been run and the
part meets specs. This test was run without a mount to isolate
effects due to the coatings, and just tested the front side. The
back side will be tested shortly and a full up mounted test will
occur later.
