Accomplishments of Week Ending 2/27/07

1) All four Be plates comprising the ETU bench were positioned together for the first time at AXSYS to drill holes and slots which will serve as the position references throughout the rest of the assembly process.

2) A cryo position repeatability test of the filter wheel with a passive friction device attached yielded excellent results, and the wheel will meet its requirements.

3) The water tank for the clean room humidifier at Arizona cracked and leaked (but did not harm anything). It was replaced with only a day's downtime.

NIRCam Needs (from Feb 22 MSR)

• Need PSD information and details of mirror segments for higher fidelity coronagraphic modeling

• Harness and thermal strap loads on bench and struts – needed confirm load on OBA to finalized structural analysis, to complete strut design, and perform OTM analysis on the OA to determine impact on alignment and WFE

• Resolution of intermediate thermal strapping of harnesses

• ISIM Analysis of NIRCam EOL Optics Contamination

• Resolve FPE simulator requirements

Ø LM needs to finish strut analysis for requirement determination. Performed for static, Need to coordinate pad motion cases for final assessment
