Suggestions for final exam studying: 50% of the final will be derived from material covered on Exams 1-3. Study the solutions sheets for the old exams and then study the material through Lecture 26 and the last two problem sets for the other 50% of the final. You will be given an equation sheet and constants and you will need a calculator.
If I were to give final grades today, I would use the following scale based on 3 tests=300 points and 6 problem sets=150 points for a total of 450 points. Beware that the final scale will be different because I will use a curve that includes the final exam and two more problem sets!
Estimated Grade Scale (not final!!)
| Points | Grade |
| 380-450 | A |
| 325-379 | B |
| 235-324 | C |
| 215-234 | D |
| <215 | E |
VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The syllabus has had an incorrect time for the final. It is on May 9, not May 7, from 2-4pm
