The MIRI team at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory will provide the focal planes and control electronics and software for the instrument, and will conduct the systems engineering required for verification and integration of the full instrument (optics plus focal plane) into JWST. The team is led by Avi Karnik (manager), Mike Ressler (Instrument Scientist), and Greg Goodson (Systems Engineer), with Mike Ressler also as the focal plane scientist.
